Batavia Ministerial Association is putting together an event for Sunday, December 11 at 4:30 at the Peg Bond Center that we're calling Songs & Lights.
We held the first event last year. The goal is to bring together the diverse worship traditions of our local churches in celebration of Jesus' birth and to offer our community a place to gather and worship together. Last year's event included singing, prayer, scripture readings, the lighting of luminaries on which we wrote our prayers for our community and world. In addition to that, we invited Batavia Popcorn Depot and Flyleaf to cater popcorn and cider for everyone who came. We were able to offer everything free to the community through the sponsorship of the churches. This year we have at least six churches participating.
