General Event Information
Celebrate Labor Day weekend at the Downtown Batavia Block Party & Taste of Batavia! The party comes complete with awesome live music, a Car Show, Pie Bake-off, and free kids area! Join us at Peg Bond Center for Block Party, and you'll find the Car Show on N River Street!
Tickets are purchased onsite the day of the event. Adults are $5 and kids are Free. No pets allowed.
- Drop pies off at Block Party between 4:00-4:30 pm on Sunday, September 1
- Judging will take place at 5:00 pm and the winners will be announced at 5:45 pm
- There will be two categories - fruit and non-fruit pies.
- Pie Bake-Off registration fee is $5 per pie, paid in cash to the Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation at the event. Event admission is $5 per adult (21+).
- Each pie should be clearly marked with the recipe name and the participant's name.
- If your pie needs to be refrigerated, please provide your own cooler.
- Please bring entries in disposable pie pans. Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation is not responsible for anything that breaks.
Car Show Information
The Batavia Depot Museum is hosting a car show on September 1, 2024 with our community's annual Block Party! This will be a fun community activity and an opportunity to celebrate the history that drives past us on the roads each day.
You are cordially invited to the Wayback Wheels Car Show! We’re bringing history storytelling to the streets of Batavia. The Batavia Depot Museum will have extended hours and you will have a chance to enjoy the other festivities of Block Party including local eats and live music! The museum’s famous open-air trolley will also be on display. Here is some basic info:
- Where? Downtown Batavia
- When? Sunday, September 1, 2024 from 4-9 pm. (Vehicle load in at 3 pm)
- Cost? $15 registration fee/vehicle. https://forms.gle/VXr96ydwT2MgHgLp8 This includes one entry to Block Party, and contributes to the public choice award prizes. Any proceeds from this event will support our work at the museum. Free to the public or $5 to enter Block Party!
- Prizes! Yes, we will do public voting for “People’s Choice” and “History on the Road.”
