Wayback Wheels Car Show

We’re bringing history storytelling to the streets of Batavia! Last year, we had lots of wonderful cars on display, representing 100 years of road history from the 1920s to the 2020s.
The Batavia Depot Museum is once again teaming up with Batavia MainStreet's Block Party for a fun day of celebrating community and the history that drives past us on the roads each day. Check out the car show for free and drop in to the other activities of Block Party (live music and yummy local eats) for $5. The Batavia Depot Museum will have extended hours and the museum's famous open-air trolley will also be on display.
History drives past us every day on our roads, so let’s celebrate it! Cruise on down to Batavia MainStreet’s Block Party for a fun and relaxing evening in Batavia’s downtown where you can see incredible vintage and modern cars, climb aboard the Park District’s open air trolley, mingle with fellow car enthusiasts, and share the love of the road. While you’re visiting, grab a ticket for the Block Party and enjoy local eats and live music!
- Where? Houston St. Batavia, IL
- When? Sunday, August 31, 2025 from 3-7 pm. (Vehicle load in at 2 pm)
- Cost? $15 registration fee/vehicle. Please register your vehicle HERE at or stop by the museum during open hours. The car show is free to look or $5 to enter Block Party!
- Prizes! Yes, we will do public voting for “People’s Choice” and “History on the Road.”
