- Talk Sturdy to Me! Speaker Series, Thursday, March 26, 7-8:30, with Jacob Burlingame speaking on AI, Tech Bros, and Targeted Ads: Why You Should Read More Science Fiction! Jacob Burlingame is an English teacher at St Charles North High School and a recent graduate of NIU with a PhD in Literature, with an emphasis in Science Fiction. In his free time, he pretends to be a woodworker and a guitar player. What to expect: Arrive at 6:30 to grab a beverage; the talk begins at 7 PM. Expect 20-30 minute lectures by professors, experts, and specialists. Talks end with a Q&A. Tickets benefit our Community Food Pantry.
