SUMMARY:First Annual PIE Bake-off
DESCRIPTION:Pi Day comes early with the First Annual PIE Bake-off! Sunday\, March 10\, 2-4! We've competed for best salsa. We've competed for best chili. We even competed for best soup. Now we turn to our bakers! This is a dessert pie contest and is open to all individuals of all ages\, both amateurs and professionals. Each entry is $10 and must include 2 PIES for judging. Pies and crust must be made from scratch. NO store bought pies\, bought crusts\, or frozen crusts. Pies should be delivered to Sturdy Shelter Brewing between 12 and 1:30 pm\, Sunday\, March 10\, 2024. Winners will be announced at 4:00 pm. Judging will be determined by the guests at SSB and will cost a donation of $5 to participate.  Judging lasts as long as there is pie to sample. The decision of the judges will be final. All registration and judging fees will go to our neighbors in need. Register here to enter your pies or to judge the competition! This is going to be sweet!

DESCRIPTION:https://startsomething.studio/small-biz-cash-blitz/ \n\n\nJoin us Monday\, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Sturdy Shelter Brewing in Batavia as we blitz two small business owners with some extra cash!\n\n\n\nCost: $20 public // $25 small business owner (only 10 available) \nHow it Works: 10 small businesses will register for the opportunity to be “blitz’d.” During the event\, 2 of them will be randomly selected to talk a little bit about their business and then the blitz’ing will begin. For two minutes\, we’re going to support their business by Venmo’ing them donations! \nCommitment: If you register to attend\, we’re asking that\, on the night of the event\, you agree to donate (either via Venmo or cash) at least $5 to each of the two businesses chosen. You can\, of course\, donate more and we encourage you to do so! \nWhat’s in it for you: This will be a fun way to interact with local small businesses and support them financially. \nYou’ll also receive: \n1. One drink ticket (good for beer\, wine\, or soft drink) \n2. A raffle ticket for the opportunity to win a prize basket filled with goodies from local businesses.
