Last year\, we had lots of wonderful cars on display\, representing 100 years of road history from the 1920s to the 2020s.\nThe Batavia Depot Museum is once again teaming up with Batavia MainStreet's Block Party for a fun day of celebrating community and the history that drives past us on the roads each day. Check out the car show for free and drop in to the other activities of Block Party (live music and yummy local eats) for $5. The Batavia Depot Museum will have extended hours and the museum's famous open-air trolley will also be on display.\n\nHistory drives past us every day on our roads\, so let’s celebrate it! Cruise on down to Batavia MainStreet’s Block Party for a fun and relaxing evening in Batavia’s downtown where you can see incredible vintage and modern cars\, climb aboard the Park District’s open air trolley\, mingle with fellow car enthusiasts\, and share the love of the road. While you’re visiting\, grab a ticket for the Block Party and enjoy local eats and live music!\n\nWhere? Houston St. Batavia\, IL\nWhen? Sunday\, August 31\, 2025 from 3-7 pm. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Labor Day weekend at the Downtown Batavia Block Party & Taste of Batavia! The party includes awesome live music\, a Car Show\, Pie Bake-off\, and free kids area! Join us at Peg Bond Center for Block Party\, and you'll find the Car Show on Houston Street! \nTickets are purchased onsite the day of the event. Adults are $5 and kids are Free.  No pets allowed. \n  \nPie Bake Off \nDo you have what it takes to rise to the occasion?  Don't be afraid to take whisks in the Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation Pie-Bake off!  The BMCF Pie Bake-Off is open to all bakers.  There will be three categories for judging — fruit pies\, non-fruit pies\, and youth (ages 14 and under).  Pies will be assessed based on appearance\, crust\, filling\, and overall flavor and taste. \n\nWhen?  Drop pies off between 3:00-3:30 pm.  Judging will take place 3:45-4:30 pm and the winners will be announced at 4:45 pm.\nRegistration:   There will be three categories:  fruit pies\, non-fruit pies\, and youth (ages 14 and under).  Pie Bake-Off registration fee is $10 per baker.  Each baker may enter one or more pies.  Register HERE.  Pie Bake Off registration fee DOES NOT include the $5 entrance fee for the Downtown Batavia Block Party & Taste of Batavia.  Registration will close on August 31\, 2025 at 3:20 pm.\nMore Information: Click HERE\n\n  \n  \nWayback Wheels Car Show\nWe’re bringing history storytelling to the streets of Batavia!
