DESCRIPTION:The Batavia Farmers' Market is held every Saturday from May 17 through October 25\, 2025 from 8:00am to 12:00pm on North River Street between Wilson and Spring Streets.  The Market features produce\, baked goods\, plants\, honey and related farm products. Our vendors must grow\, harvest and/or produce at least 75% of market products. \nFollow us on Instagram & Facebook for updates and the weekly vendor list. \nWe have carefully curated 50+ vendors weekly to provide you with a wide array of options. There will be artist pop-ups\, music\, refreshments\, and a free arts activity for the community to enjoy!\n\n\n After the celebration\, be sure to visit Sturdy Shelter Brewing to enjoy a Good Energy Grapefruit Radler - back for a limited time in honor of the mural!\n\n\n You can finish off the artsy afternoon at Water Street Studios (160 S Water Street) for Community Day\, an open house at the art center with an opportunity to engage in a creative writing workshop from 2 - 4 pm. Community Day programming is thanks to a grant from our friends at Batavia United Way \n\n\n#waterstreet #communityart\n\n\n\n'City of Good Energy' Mural Coming to Downtown Batavia\n\n\n\n\nA new public artwork is coming to the heart of Batavia. The Batavia Public Art Initiative (BPAI)\, a subcommittee of Water Street Studios\, will install the City of Good Energy mural on the south wall of The Comedy Vault\, 18 E. Wilson St.\, in September 2025. \nDesigned by muralist and art educator Amy Decker\, the 24-by-20-foot mural was selected from more than 30 artist submissions. Community volunteers will help paint the mural in a supervised\, paint-by-number format\, with a public reveal celebration planned for Saturday\, Oct. 4\, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. \nFeaturing vivid scenes of riverfront life\, family\, and nature\, the mural will serve as a colorful gateway to downtown Batavia and a tribute to the city’s creative spirit. \nVolunteer sign-ups are available online\, and donations are being accepted to support the project.\nTo volunteer\, donate\, or learn more\, visit waterstreetstudios.org.
