DESCRIPTION:Our next lyceum is almost here! Join us on Monday\, November 7th\, at Sidecar Supper Club. Cheers!\n\n\nJames Joseph is the owner of The Book Shop in Batavia. Outside of the shop he is a working stiff\, proud father\, and quite the lucky man. He has studied theology and continues to self-improve through lifelong education.\n\n\nJames will present his lyceum: “Rushdie and the Weapon of Outrage.” Originally conceived before the recent attack on Rushdie\, this examination of the fatwa focuses on the strategic reasons for the edict\, the response to it\, as well as the glimmers of hope in a story that is often dismissed.
