Batavia, IL: The Red Geranium recently opened its doors in downtown Batavia at 3 S Batavia Ave in the Gammon Corners coach house. A grand opening celebration is planned for June 26th from 3 – 8 pm with raffles and refreshments at her new location.

Owner Kelly Tiberi is no stranger to retail, having been a business owner for over 20 years and owner of The Red Geranium in its previous location in downtown Naperville for 14 years. Tiberi lives in Batavia and loves the small town feel to the community, “I’m glad to be in a town that supports independent business owners and wants to see a majority of its growth in an entrepreneurial spirit.”

The Red Geranium is a show place for customers to see interior and exterior décor as well as a large line of items that are unique and available for custom ordering. The Red Geranium also specializes in custom window treatments, wall techniques, floral arrangements, and hand painted furniture. During the gardening season Kelly offers garden design, small installation jobs, annuals and perennials, garden planters and accessories for the yard. She also offers a custom planter program for spring, fall and the holidays as well as interior and exterior decorating during the holiday season.

Unique to the site, The Red Geranium is teaming up with “Get All Decked Out” and Don Wacker, showcasing his work by the installation of a deck and arbor, brick pavers and a retaining wall onsite at 3 S Batavia Ave. Inside the store you’ll find a photo album of decks, room additions, horse barns and more are available for viewing. Tiberi is an avid supporter of A.D.O.P.T and is planning a fund raiser with neighbor business Rose Photo Studio on November 22nd for Naperville’s Animal Shelter. Batavia MainStreet Executive Director comments about the addition of The Red Geranium to downtown Batavia, “We welcome The Red Geranium and Kelly’s retailing expertise to our downtown and encourage shoppers to support her new venture.
