Batavia MainStreet and Bulldog Boosters Offer New Spirit and Garden Flags to the Public

Batavia, IL: Bulldogs are again invading downtown Batavia this fall! A new Bulldog superhero image has been designed by artist Steve Willing to be placed on downtown banners and made into spirit flags. The new image is featured on the fall Homecoming downtown Batavia banners and is also available in “mini banner” sizes to the public by presale orders. Two sizes are available – 40” x 28” regular flag size and 18” x 13” garden flag size. The price of the flags is $40 for the Bulldog spirit flag and $25 for the garden flag with proceeds from the sale split between Batavia Sports Boosters and Batavia MainStreet. Order forms showing flag artwork are available online at www.downtownbatavia.com or a form may be mailed by contacting the MainStreet office at (630) 761-3528. All orders must be received by July 18th to meet the custom order deadline with Flag Source. Bulldog Boosters member Pam Roeske comments, “Flag orders should be picked up at the BHS Corn Boil on Friday August 22nd at the Booster tent. A limited number of extra flags will be available, but pre-orders are strongly encouraged to avoid disappointment.”

Executive Director Britta McKenna comments about this popular program. “This offer coincides with the downtown Bulldog Homecoming banners installed mid August through mid November.” McKenna adds, “We are sold out of the Homecoming banners, which goes to show you how much support our community has for the Bulldogs.”
